What we believe
What does the Foundation for the Next Generation stand for? To answer that question, here are the premises the foundation is based on:
Education is fundamental to the character and success of a society.
Education should have no political or religious agenda.
Education is not only a right of children, but a responsibility of adults.
One of the purposes of education is to help the student identify and develop their unique talents and interests.
There are actions that we, as private citizens, can take to improve the education our students are getting right now and that we cannot afford to wait.
Education in this country needs to change; both to accommodate our rapidly changing society and to make better use of new technology and knowledge.
Immediately useable assistance, coupled with the development of a truly state of the art educational system is the most effective course of action to address the problems we currently face in education.
By starting out with a clear vision of what a well-equipped 21st century high school graduate needs and combining that with proven methods and current technology a comprehensive, integrated educational program may be developed.
When it comes to a better education, we believe that our children deserve it, our country needs it, and we will all benefit from it.
We believe that when you look at the number of people it will help, and the amount of good it will do, there is no better use of your charitable dollar than this foundation. We pledge to always make sure it is put to good use.
"Next in importance to freedom and justice is popular education, without which neither freedom nor justice can be permanently maintained."
- James A. Garfield
